Limits on numbers of channels? (DECnet)

» close window

The Question is:

We are having a problem with a custom application running out of DECnet links.
We are trying to deploy a new version which requires more links than our prior
 one.
We have set the Executor to 1024 Max links but NETACP seems to be unable to
create links beyond about 630. This occurs on all of our various systems with
 VMS 7.2.
What other NCP quotas or NETACP process quotas, controlled via NETACP$ logical
 names might we try?
We have built a tools which can create huge number of links on demand so we cna
test this. When NETACP hits this link limit, it starts consuming huge amounts
 of CPU time.
Thanks in advance.

The Answer is :

The system parameter CHANNELCNT, the available system pool, the
process I/O channel quotas, and the EXEC setting are the usual
  limits here.
