OpenVMS MAIL and Microsoft Exchange?

The Question is:

 
Is it possible to send and receive Internet mail from an Alpha VMS system via a
 MS Exchange server. In other words, is there a MAPI-compliant mailer for VMS?

  Please see topic 4655.
 
  OpenVMS can also act as a mail server for POP3 and IMAP clients, and
  this includes permitting Microsoft, Macintosh, and other clients to
  access mail received and stored on OpenVMS systems.
 
  Microsoft Exchange Servers can also be configured with a connector that
  permits it to access industry-standard SMTP protocols, and SMTP support
