Configuring TCP/IP Telnet and FTP server?

» close window

The Question is:

I am running UCX on VMS v7.1 on an alpha server. I have a direct pipe to the
internet through a router. If I want to be able to access the alpha using
telnet and ftp via the internet, what do I need to set up in the core
environment configuration. Telne
t and FTP currently work fine on the local LAN.

The Answer is :

Please see topic 3397 for a related discussion, and for pointers
  to the relevent documentation.

You will want to load at least V5.0A onto this system, and you
will likely want to disable SMTP route-through to prevent your
host from being used for SPAM. (Far more flexible anti-spam
capabilities are expected in a future TCP/IP Services release.)
